Accessibility Statement
Xtreme Auto Detailing is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of doing good work — and an ongoing effort, not a one-time checkbox.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard. We believe this site substantially conforms to that target. “Substantially conforms” means most of the site meets the standard, with some known exceptions noted below — we are not claiming formal certification.
Measures we’ve taken
- Completed a color-contrast audit against WCAG 2.2 AA and fixed 14 contrast failures across text, controls, and UI states.
- Built the pages with semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) so screen-reader users can orient and jump between regions.
- Made the primary navigation and the image lightbox fully keyboard-operable, with managed focus (focus moves into the dialog on open and returns on close).
- Kept focus indicators visible — every interactive element has a clear focus ring.
- Added a “Skip to content” link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Honored the operating-system “reduced motion” setting, removing non-essential animation and transitions for people who prefer it.
- Wrote descriptive alt text for the gallery images so their content is conveyed without sight.
- Maintained a committed dark theme with text colors chosen for legibility, and links that are underlined (not signaled by color alone).
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas may fall short. We’re aware of the following and are working to improve them:
- Some links lead to third-party platforms we don’t control (for example, our Facebook page and external booking or maps). Their accessibility is governed by those providers.
- Image alt text describes each photo in service-context terms; a few older photos may have briefer descriptions than we’d like, and we refine these over time.
- The site is enhanced with JavaScript (for the mobile menu and the gallery lightbox); core content and links remain reachable without it, but some enhancements will be unavailable.
